Email Support Groups
There are a number of email lists for specific medical conditions that I have heard of. Although several of these lists come highly recommended, others I know nothing about, but they may be a good place to start learning more about any condition your dog has been diagnosed with. Remember, though, that not everything you hear will be reliable.Some of these lists are inactive, but may still have useful information in their Files and Archives.
General forums where vets will answer questions
- Ask Dr. Donna Board-certified veterinary internal medicine specialist Dr. Donna Spector will answer questions for $15. Also provides more in-depth medical, nutritional, and weight loss consultations.
- VetLIVE Fees range from $17 to $50 for questions, chats, nutritional consultations, and second opinions from veterinarians.
- JustAnswer Charges a fee, commonly $15-$30, for a veterinarian to answer your question.
- AskAVetQuestion Fees range from $8 to $12. Answers to common questions provided on the site. Also see Need Help Paying for Veterinary Bills? for a list of resources.
